Vending Machine Sim
Hey friends, this one is important to me.
For years on end (like 4 years idk what im goin on about) I used construct 3, a no-code engine for people who don't want to learn to code. I learned a lot from that, and made some decent games, but eventually I realized that I had to move onto a real code engine. Over the last yearish, Ive tried my best to learn how to code- and as with most games when youre coding, I could never finish a game in any capacity. This time however, I told myself Im going to finish it, and even if its in a rough state (like this one is) publish it so future me can look back and be proud of the progress I've made.
All that to say that this game is bad. Like really bad. But Im going to get better. And thats what matters.

Dude shut up with all this nasty self talk I have no idea how to make a game either. Only I don't really plan to. But you do! And everybody starts somewhere. So chill! When you beat yourself up you are inviting others to do the same! So stop that! I like the graphics and the idea here, keep going please!
Thank you so much! Thats actually very sweet of you. I'm definitely gonna keep going- I'm actually working on my next "mini" game right now, so we'll see how that goes. Thanks again!
its a game! it works! for the most part! it is technically a finished project!
that’s something to be proud of; a finished, mostly functional end result. programming is hard, and it might get you down, but remember to draw your attention to the little victories you have, take breaks, and keep at it.
random tip: try getting a toy, desktop pet, or friend to talk at when you can’t figure out why something isn’t working. sometimes explaining it makes it click in your mind!
thank you so much!! Yeah I committed to learning godot on January first this year, and I just needed to finish something. But it works!
thank you for the tips! I’m definitely gonna get one of those desktop pets, that’s a great idea and im surprised I didn’t think of it before!
thank you again! I’m gonna keep at it :)
